ForeverDear: Privacy Notice
1. Introduction
At ForeverDear, we bridge the gap between ancestral curiosity and documented certainty. To provide our evidence-based research services, we handle personal and historical data with the highest level of care, transparency and professional integrity.
2. Information We Collect
To conduct thorough family history research, we may collect:
- Contact & Billing Data: Your name, email, and billing address.
- Genealogical Data: Names, dates, and locations of your ancestors provided by you.
- DNA Match Data: If you choose to share access, we view your DNA match lists and ethnicity estimates to cross-verify the historical paper trail.
- Official Documentation: Copies of birth, marriage, or death certificates required for research or Irish Citizenship (FBR) applications.
3. Secure Access Protocol (No-Password Policy)
ForeverDear prioritises your account security and privacy. We will never ask for your login credentials or passwords for any genealogy or DNA platform.
- Third-Party Platforms: For research conducted on websites such as Ancestry, MyHeritage, or Findmypast you will invite us as an ‘Editor’, ‘Guest’, or ‘Collaborator’ using our professional email: research@foreverdear.net.
- Control: You remain the sole owner of your accounts and data on these platforms and can revoke our access at any time through your account settings.
4. Delivery & The Digital Archive
Upon completion of your Ancestral Report or Heritage Report, your research will be delivered via a secure Google Drive folder.
- The Handover: This folder contains your PDF, research documents and a GEDCOM file (ensuring your family data is portable and owned by you).
- Two-Year Backup: ForeverDear will host this secure folder for two years from the date of project completion. This serves as a safety backup while you establish your own personal archives.
- Deletion: After this two-year period, the Google Drive folder will be deleted. We recommend downloading and backing up all files to your personal storage within this timeframe.
5. How We Use Your Data
We use your information strictly to:
- Conduct the Heritage Strategy Session and project research.
- Perform Cross-Verification, comparing historical records with DNA matches to ensure your family tree is built on documented evidence.
- Support Citizenship Pathway applications and document retrieval.
6. Data Sharing & Third Parties
- Confidentiality: We do not sell your data or share your family research with other clients.
- Public Trees: Your research is conducted in private environments. We do not publish your family data to public databases.
- External Platforms: Your data on third-party genealogy sites remains subject to those platforms’ specific Privacy Policies.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of your personal data at any time. While our research focuses on historical records, we extend high standards of privacy and respect to all information regarding living relatives.
